I also have school this week so no more trinest.com updates until I either a) Feel like it or B) Have time.

Today one of my friends came over and played with the Nintendo Wii console. Great stuff. Rayman is a great game kids if you want to convert evil Sony fanboys with their santanic ways.

Not to name businesses but when you have crap loads of shopping and the bag is clearly broken. Then you pop into a store. WTF is the managers problem comming up been a dick going ‘IF YOU WANT A BAG YOU GOTTA BUY SOMETHING’. Thank god EB was walking distence and I got my bag fix. As well as making them have a extra few bucks by convicing my friend to go with the disk garentee. Lets say the guy was quite annoyed I took his marketing ploy. He was like ‘or you could do what he said…ummm…yeah which is….’.

A mad fight downtown. Followed by calling ramdom people while shopping. Downtown was over all a bore of the day.

I played Crash on the Wii, I recomend it. Quite interesting and very well, werid?

Speeking about games, I recomend the next Lost in Blue title when it comes out. To bad it wont be out in America for a long time.

Also in the relm of recomendations. Super Mario Galaxy hit stores in OZ on the 29th. This is a must have title for all you kiddies and oldies with a wii.

The day ended with watching the new Futrama movie thingo. (Must watch). From the last episode of the chasers for this year (a collection will be shown next week). To finish the tv section of the day. Newstopia got my vote.

The past few weeks have been home to some comments from the video game industry about a ‘Standard One Console Future’. While comments like this have been happening all year, when EA stuck their head out and said something on the topic it was at a bad time for them. Rumours were flying about EA interested in ‘buying profitable game developers to make a console for themselves’.

But it seems EA wasn’t the first, John Romero who is a respected game designer had this to say eailer this year “My prediction is that the game console in the vein of the PS3 and Xbox 360 is going to either undergo a massive rethink or go away altogether,” Romero said. “The hardcore gamers are going to either be playing on their PCs or a new PC-like platform that sits in the living room but still serves the whole house over wifi, even the video signal.”

But the resent outburst was from Dyack from Silicon Knights. He muttered the usual marketing stuff such as the industry will die in its current state etc. But one of his comments was interesting what he believes will happen is that a standard will be decided upon, such as with TV, and different companies will be able to build a console for the format. Software companies will be able to reduce game prices because of an assured 100% market penetration for the one SKU.

Well I agree, the industry is starting to become very expensive. Having 3 consoles for home gaming alone is a pain. A Nintendo fan boy? Well what if you want GTA? The answer, get yourself a Xbox360. At the end of the day you need many consoles for your ‘select’ games.

If the industry was to go the way of video for example how a war is made before deciding a ‘standard’ then we will still have 3 consoles and generation will always begin with a console war to decide the ‘standard’. People will go with the last generation for ages like DVD, anyone here even bother entering the HDDVD or Blue-ray war? I thought not.

Everyone would love a one console next generation, but there are many questions we must ask.
Who will make the standard?
How will it work?

We will also have to consider how to do it; this is not something we should rush into. We can’t do it like PC’s were we upgrade every dam week to play a game. While on the same token it can’t be like consoles now. The last long but at the end of the generation they are weak.

When it comes to control that is all that determs a console these days. Graphical power will always rise and components such as messaging, internet, media etc. Channels have become a ‘standard’ in itself. Controls are going to be a remote in the future, like the Wiimote but the same time will have to be ever changing introducing new and different ways to play a game or use the old style. For example a wheel on a PC we never had that to begin with, it came around one day and people were excited and wanted to try it. We can keep the same style in gaming but it has to advance each generation.

In the future I belive anyone will be able to make a video game using the suit of software I will describe in this article. But not everyone will be able to master it.

In my idea you design 3d sprites. These 3d sprites can be used in the game or other animations. You construct it by moving around the base etc. You have a blur etc too, a colour tool, fill, rubber and a penical a spriters main tool.

When it comes to making it move. You can ad ‘limb’ areas which you can then make it animate etc. Move grasp, etc.

This system will be great for building PC games as well as making console homebrew.

When it comes to making the game everything should be done by ‘links’ for example character1 is linked to edvent1. Edvent1 will make character2 walk to character1. Chracter3 will join later. Etc. Character2 walks and goes into building etc.

Lets continue the idea, the idea which I’m doupt full would ever happen. But anyway.

The original idea was just a phone and GBC games to play. But I expanded it, why? Because the target market (GBC generation) is in their late teens to late 20′s. What do they want? Why business fuctions. Why? Because they are job age and work for it.

So like past phone ideas, I included my OS in the design;

Lets talk about the features.
It will feature full play back of both GBC and GB games by a download service simluar to the Virutal Console on the Nintendo Wii. It will also feature a slot so you can play the hard copies you own again.

It will feature a hard-disk about 2GB – 5GB + why? Because to store the games, also to store saves, the GBC and GB games you own are probably dead now, so lets make the hard-disk the battery for the cart and walla, you got your saves hard-disk afied. You can then also download saves off the next etc. for the titles.

Why no GBA feature? Because it dosn’t need one because the DS plays GBA games.

Include a camera? Why to have a camera is a priority these days in most good phones.
Also you could do something like another ‘GB camera’.

You have a PDA function, which offers word proscessors, internet, chat etc. Which will work lke channels on the Wii. The Shop channel will connect with your shop channel account on your Nintendo Wii.

As for this idea? I hope personaly it happens. How about you guys?

Also for the phone bit you could have it work just like Windows Mobile 5.0.

Also you could have a feature where the Pokemon you catch in the older ones can be sent to Nintendo and bemed to your DS game.

Update Some people are confused with other features. My idea does include wi-fi and bluetooth. For exmaple wifi for the interent and blue-tooth to send savs to your friends near by as well as other things.

Also I have been asked if the idea has a media player. I can say that most PDA devices have one so why not?

After all its only an idea…

Another feature I thought of was when your saving to the hard-disk it backs up the save so if the save is currupt or something you have the previous save.

Mario Download Virtual Console
When Mario is collecting a lot of coins very fast, that means it’s downloading a lot. But when he’s only getting a little bit at a time, that either means the line’s really slow, or there a quite a bit of data left to be downloaded.

Mii Touch (WiiPlay)
If you click on parts of the Mii’s body, they will do different things.

Right Arm: Thumbs up.

Left Arm: Waves at you.

Right Leg: Does a pose standing on left foot only, arms go up bent at the elbows and eyes close making a haft circle up.

Left Leg: Looks like they will fall, standing on right foot only and mouth opens wide like a circle.

Body: Little bounce or jump and eyes open wide.

Head: Eyes close, head and body shake side to side.

Sleeping Menu Mii (WiiPlay)
If you leave your Wii Remote alone at the Game Menu for a while, your Mii will fall asleep and the music will change. If you leave it alone for longer, your Mii will eventually wake up and the music will return to normal.

Different Paddle For Laser Hockey (WiiPlay)
Press A and B together to switch to a different circular paddle before the game timer starts.

Move Slide Show Faster
When your viewing the “Slide Show” you can push “Left” or “Right” on the D-Pad and it will move to the “Next” or Previous” headline.

Cat Help
When you first download your channel update, you’ll see a cat on top of the box. Click on it and it will give you tips.

Longer/Shorter Display
You can press the “1″ or “2″ button during a “Slide Show” to adjust how long or short articles are displayed.

Cat Sounds
You can also click the cats in the progress bar, they make sounds.

Highlighting Text
Once you get to your news list, select “Slide Show”. Click the A button in order to read the whole article. In there, you can click and hold the ” 1″ button and it will highlight (underline in red) the text you want.

Bigger Doodle
On the Photo Channel, when you click “Fun” and then “Doodle” you can make stuff bigger and smaller by moving the Wiimote forwards and backward from the sensor bar.

Fire Mario on Virtual Console
When you are downloading a Virtual Consloe game, if you have Fire Mario on the downloading screen, press the A button to throw fireballs.

Edit Movie
Try editing a Movie File, and when you clicked on Fun, it allows you to do a motion puzzle! Every piece will move, and you’ll have to put it together! It’s really fun and different. Note: It is really hard!

Wii Sports Colors
Wii Bowling:
In Wii Sports if you hold the d-pad in different directions while loading a game of bowling you get a different color of bowling ball.

Left=Pink/Red | Down=Green | Right=Gold | Up=Blue (default).

Wii Baseball:
Also when loading tennis hold button 1 for Blue or 2 for a Green (default) feild.

Upside Down Wii
You can place the sensor bar upside down and it doesn’t reverse the directions of your movements.

Zoom In
In Wii Sports Bowling, when you press up on the Directional Pad, it will zoom in on the lane. The zoom in sound is the exact same sound from Super Mario 64 anytime you moved the camera.

Scare Miis
In Wii Sports Bowling, you can release on the back swing and throw the ball backwards. It scares all the Miis behind you.

Follow Mii
When you’re in the Mii channel and you don’t use the Wiimote for a little bit and your Mii’s start walking around, if you then suddenly use the Wiimote, all the Mii stop and follow the ‘hand’ for about 3 seconds.

Puzzle Pieces
You can have a 194 piece puzzle by holding down the 1 button before selecting any piece amount.

These days people like games like GTA with lots of blood and gore? so if i make a kiddy game on a system known for “kiddy” games and put blood and gore in it will that make it a “adult” game? “kiddy” games are for everyone and are allways rated around G+8. Kids these days belive they are mature by 9 so they belive these 8+ games are “kiddy”.
The gaming image these days is very bad. Most gams people talk about are M and most adults let 5 year old people play M+15 games, like GTA then blame latter on why there bably behaved.

How to make good web pictures for your site
Resently I found out how to make moving images.

(Some examples using some Anime)

(Expnalation of the images ie. where they where from)

Many pictures are used on websites, these days its good to save a picture as a gif or png (they seem to be the popluar ones). Jpg has a bad quilty and can shrink the picture in things like photobucket they shrink drasticly.

e.g. a picture 800×700 could become 400×300 due to saving the file as the wrong type, mostly people save pictures as gifs and crop them so people can’t steel there layouts and if they want to edit the picture they can do it in paint or open the file and edit it in photoshop they have to re-do the hole picture again by whiting the coloured areas copying the whole picture then opening photoshop (photoshop will make the picture the same size if you copyed the whole one from before) because the file inst saved its clear and dosn’t have any properties yet.
Most sites make images for things like navigation and other parts of the layout. Average users of the website there visting make pictures just for requests of a sig or avatar or make there own sig/avatar to use on the sites forum.

May I ask wtf that turned into? First it was about my sig set I made with animation. Then it was about how images when uploading can shrink. Then it was about photshop (what about photoshop I have no idea) then it was about people making sigs/avatars on forums.

Before I do the article I have one thing to say, from looking down the page I see talkings of XTML. One question…if I knew about XTML why the fuck didn’t I learn it.?

When making a website you must supply alot of information on what you cover or atlest exlusive features. Many users want interctive, such as forums, topsites, games, tagboards and other features. The more interactive your site is the more seccess you will have latter down the track. With forums you should not change them every month, this makes users angry, some visters to your site may have other things to do besides regersting to your forums every month, removing inactive users is also a bad idea.
Some sites have tagboards and forums, this meens that they have to supply more moderatorson both the forums and tagboard, because there basicly the same thing.
Many features you have to learn better scripts such as PHP or XTML, with PHP you can do many things such as run forums, cutenews and other scripts which are importent, such as tracking users etc.
Cutenews is a news system which I preffer over others (fusionnews etc.) its also alot easier to use and can do many things, but to use it, it has to be online (be on a host ect.) and the page has to be saved as .php there are many other reasons why I chose cutenews (one is it is easier to edit the templates) but then it will just show I like things done for me.
Fusionnews is more wider, but in some places you have more work to do, many sites I know use fusionnews or cutenews, they are the more popluar ones, but there are others which I havn’t yet tried. But I belive my site is perfect with the current news system.
PHP is a great script, its easy to learn but in php most of it is html or XTML, or what ether other script you are using.
Layouts for websites have to be clean, a messy layout meens less vistors and even then if you have a great information a messy site can lead to falling.
Other features for a website are importen, well most of the time you can get away with no topsite (because only webmasters need to use that) and guest books are just another forum of tagboard or forum.

I belive this is the best article which was on my year 8 computers webpage. It so talks about the importence of webdesign from that era. Sadly I forgot many of this, which is why my website Another Code Labs failed a year ago. But not to worrie. I can start again.

This is was a good article until I started talking about cutenews, totaly wrecked the perspective of the article and I started to then jump around like the others.

As for some features I mentioned. Fusionnews is practicly dead. Cutenews is heading that way as less and less people use it. As for topsites, I havn’t seen a site with a topsite since a big gaming topsite closed down ages ago.

So many things are different then, the designs are different to what we do now in webdesign, we use CSS more now than we did back in 2005 and less and less feature prone things are used. Tagboreds are now considered ‘noobish’ and noone uses them. Guest books died ages ago and articles are more important than ever.

Later that day my brother comes home with 2 wiis, he had bought Zelda and Red Steel as games. Fun titles. He plugs in his wii to his tv set up and plays zelda for a bit, then updates his Wii to the newest firmwer as well as connecting it to the internet.

He then says “SHIT I GOTTA DO TRENTS WII BEFORE HE COMES HOME” so he dose it only to find it dosn’t work (it failed to connect to the internet).

He goes to target and buys me a Wii – this time it worked.

December 9th 2006 – I noticed my Wii froze every once in awhile, I thought nothing of it.

December 13th 2006 – Wii fucks up. Doesn’t respond to anything.

Wednesday that Week – I come home sick from school and my mum goes ‘you better not be doing this just to play wii’ I then tell her it dosn’t work, my brother rings up and gets a replacement one.

Friday that week – Replacement one comes, I play it for awhile.

Through out Xmas and early summer holidays – I noticed my Wii failed to read disks proplery, so I thought nothing of it because I was going away.

17th Jan 2007 – I get my mum to ring up Nintendo, it sounded like she thought the Wii had a scratched disk not a proper problem. My brother says ‘you did it wrong’.

18th Jan 2007 – My brother desides he can do it properly and rings up Nintendo, first about straps then rings up again about the Wii. He gets a chick who was helpfull and explained that because its a serive problem it goes to Target to be returned and sent to them.

We go to Target only to have backwords service, a lie if you must. Each said they can’t handle returns to Nintendo because they don’t deal with them. So we got a refund (which we didn’t know we where getting until my brother bought rayman and got $340 back) We talked to the head of the section for awhile, she was admazed and said I’m the only person with these problems.

We go to eb because I told my brother about the gc titles they had there. We buy a few preowened and talk to the manger and another staff member about Wii consoles. We then evolved the conversation into my wii problems and the fact they never herd of anything like this before. The other staff member said ‘must be bad luck’. We then talked to the manger about gc games, he took us to the section and my brother inquired about four swords which was $100 but the box was shit as, so we got $20 nocked off. A good day for gc games, a bad day for my wii.

We come home and my brother rings Nintendo, YES they do deal with retail, so we talked to the manger at target who will send it down, get it back then ring us up so we can buy back the console. Hopfuly this is the last time I have back luck with Wiis.

Now when we dicovered the rocks tragic secret we where walking down a moutain at night. I slip, allmost fall of the edge, only to push the rock down instead. My bro then followed suit and did the same. With the comment ‘rocks the silent killer’. He became forever cursed the rocks kept comming….

At night. You an’t safe. We where walking again, only 2 nights ago. Walking up a street. Turn left, and we walk across the street and then walk past a poll, we get onto the foot path, only to have my brother walk cross onto a rock and trip over.

This rock was inplace for the naming of this gay street. But instead it triped over my brother as it was in the dark and no lights where around it. So basicly…it was silent and it was dark.

It was fine at first, because mum was stuiped and has bad vision, rining up the people we where ment to meet when they where, right in front of us almost.

There was nothing to do, expet listen to shitty country music been played over the shit speekers in the shit cola they had.

I sware I wanted to slap that fucking annousment guy doing all the fucking horse scores.

Every so often they played some shit story about some old gay blues or country music singer.

Some of the cattle where realy sikco…one which came in had a fringgin wet noes, with mucus dripping down almost to the ground.

Some horses went good, others sucked.

We went home, and then I stayed at home, I wasnt going again, my parents took my aunty there instead that time.
