So around the 7th I made “Trinest Lite”, well now a new theme has been made called “Trinest iLite”. I think its probably based around the inevitable that there would be a redesign, and approximently 12 days later, yes only twelve days later. A brand new design was made…yay I guess.
Luckily for you, I guess. You can be part of the journey, well not really- I just have a bunch of pictures which I have through the process, and like the post 12 days ago, this one pretty much shows wtf was going through my mind when I decided to redesign the site for the umteenth time. I’m sure the next design update in some stupid small amount of days will be just as pointless.

So like all ideas of late, it started off with a positioning idea, meaning nothing was behind the purpose of the idea besides “hey I wonder what the social media links on the left would look like, wow thats so ground breaking”, and it turns out it just might be.
So I designed up a concept with some blocks in paint, thinking “lol how awesome would that be”.

The second preview however was made yesterday, by that I mean on the 18th, it was just tooling around with what it was, I wanted to have the background something like whats in this artwork, but I then decided against it, well more to the fact I couldn’t figure out how the fuck to make it. And if I did figure out how to make it, it was then “how would that work on the site”.
It had the idea of where most of the things would be, also for the most part the resources used where not the final ones (even for this preview), I ended up polishing it up a bit more slightly before giving in for the night then having another crazy idea.

I decided to develop the site from scratch, because I had the awesome idea of having another single column design and something like that- you know something simple and blog like, also tiny, really really tiny, I was working in a plane about 500px, which in the end became what the content area was going to be. Also that is where the “sketched” box logo came from. Which all of the elements where there, just in a row not all nice and design like.
I then decided “hey what about that design you where working on the other day”, so I took a few elements from that idea and shoved them in, as you can see it looks like I kept going with the same design and slowly changed the elements, well thats possible, but no I was working with a new design which I had essencialy made all of the “right” part of the design, then I decided to include the “left” part from the preview design.
There wasn’t much enhansments done yet, and I hadn’t made the wordpress version.

I had now started to work with the design with all the fancy new elements, they where shoved in and I thought to myself “this isn’t half bad”. Though I decided it needed some tricks to be “one of my best works”, as I still say the best layout I made was a few years ago and was one of the first major designs I had made, if I could dig it up again I would, but I’m to lazy at this stage.
Anyway I included some code for making the font size bigger or smaller, as most people know, I like to keep the font size for some reason quite small on my designs, I also polished up the fonts. I do belive however I kept the original font in the “social” menu from the preview, because I think it looks alright, though the rest of the design went back to using Tahoma, which I havn’t used in awhile. (Previous few designs used Verdana).
I also added with the images an auto “restrict” to the size, meaning if it goes over 500px in the content area it will be restricted to those maximum restrictions, I also added a nice little border using pretty much the same technique to give it that extra something.
I then made the wordpress version, uploaded it, and then yeah- here we are. Also I cleaned up some pages once it worked, but other then that no new content.
I have noticed that when viewing the posts with the comments, the footer jumps to a random location, I’m thinking to fix it I would have to clear the footer from other DIV’s and then polish it up a bit to make sure everything stays intact, but yeah thats on my “one day pile”, as who knows, maybe there will be a new design by the time the issue is fixed.
