Let’s review the PC version this time- with out the slip ups.
Oh before I go into this review- for those interested, I did a presentation on the developer for Software at school- so if you want to check it out
– Click Here I remember correctly- it isn’t exactly that accurate :/ (also if this was out before hand- maybe I’d had more to say :/)
The hype has died down- and why it only released recently in Europe/Australia- it’s still been quite some time since all the “AWEOSME GAME†reviews have happened. I played it around launch and enjoyed the game quite well- so this is another “AWESOME GAME†review.

World of Goo seems to be just a bunch of Goo- and dare I say it- rivals Lemmings in the long time awesomeness of the title. The simple drag and drop to make these little fellas keep a chain going until they get to the exit- a pipe which goes to another level (why wouldn’t they just stay put like a good Goo blob).
So to put it simply that is what you do in this title- make Goo go from point A to point B. But while some levels of World of Goo leave lots to be granted- the makeup of the more detailed puzzling levels are quite interesting and well thought out. A great job.
So the game has been developed by a independent developed called 2Dboy. This been their first game under that name- dam well deserves all the “GoTY†titles to an extent it got in America- but the simple fact is nothing good was challenging the title in America. Here you had Disaster- it stood the console back on its feet instead of making everyone want a WiiWare title- which didn’t come out until the last minute in PAL regions. You do how ever- have a nice simple PC version which is the same as the WiiWare title- but the PC version has added rankings.
Playing both- I can say that the PC one is nice for portability (I have a laptop) but the WiiWare version is so much nicer. The movements are done with your wrist more instead of a mouse which is much slower to move then a Wiimote. Though the Wiimote does feel heavy after hours of play- and the mouse just feels nice to rest on. I don’t know- pick your poison.

If the game play didn’t sway you- the music will. The pieces in World of Goo while short and not as memorable as a classic Lemmings tune. The music in World of Goo seems fitting- nice, relative, interesting- and one more word awesome.
Score: Thumbs Up
If you think a bunch of adjectives and descriptive words are going to make you buy this game if you haven’t already- then your smoking pot- because if you haven’t got this game already, you never are. People who wanted this game have it. This is a masterpiece- and if your too busy hanging out to give a rats ass about this title- then I’d be dammed- cause this title rocks.
In fact if you wish to buy this game- right now. Check out Steam because the game is 75% off at the moment. That’s one hell of a deal. Or you can go to 2Dboy’s site- as they have Linux and Mac versions (as well as Windows).
