Yes this is just Pikmin 1 replastered with shiny advertising for random crap on the box- the I never have played Pikmin. Well I did play a demo of the GC version years ago- so how does Pikmin stand up now- and secondly is the game good?
So this Pikmin game? Well I think I have to start this review off by saying- dam it was better then I thought/ remembered.
In fact I don’t remember much- because I played Pikmin at the Kmart demo station- and most of the time it was hogged by some fucker. Same as when i played Zelda at BigW- but that’s besides the point. The point is- I didn’t get much of a big turn- as I wanted to play Smash more.

First off all- lets talk box art. It’s the same as the GC version with one minor change- it is shrunk and it has Play on Wii all over it. But Nintendo realised that that’s stupid. So if you take out the cover- you get, wow another cover. Which is the original just bigger- but still with ratings etc. plasted on it. Yay!
Okay- second point I want to make is the graphics, they are very nice. But I hate the dialogue parts/menu’s. Something just makes me want my eyes poked out every time I see one of those dodgy bubbles or that coloured text. It isn’t my cup of tea.
But besides the rants about small things- I found this game easy to get into, and quite fun. The main idea of this game is that you move Pikmin to various locations to solve puzzles for access to a part of your ship.

Sounds pretty simple?
Yes it is- but there are various mechanics in place which enhance the experience, and the levels are not that boring- they are rich in various activities for you and your Pikmin to experience.
Sounds and Music? I have to say- I’m to noticing any stand up tacks, such as something from say Zelda. It’s a much more quite- soundtrack which suites the game. But the music is very bland otherwise.
Score: Thumbs Up
