Sonic and the Secret Rings Review

Platform: Wii

No matter how cool the main site made it out to be, with the suggested game play mechanics and ideas. Sonic and the Secret Rings should have stayed a secret.

The idea of Sonic and the Secret Rings is that you go into this Persian world and try and save it. The princess like fairy genie thing which follows you is also as gay as Navi of Zelda: OoT and Zelda: MM.

The controls are alright, but stupid Sonic likes to move forward on his own.

Another crap thing is that you have to do lots of tutorials throughout the game to advance. The levels are boring and involve a lot of backtracking.

The single player mode is kinder cool but would have been cooler if it was 2 players. When it comes down to the multiplayer in this game it’s just retarded mini games.

The voice’s in the game are alright but are kinder to high pitch.

Sonic keeps the idea of collecting things.

I give this game a Thumbs Down it was a big disappointment.

– Final score – Thumbs Down :(

Rampage: Total Destruction Review

Platform: Wii

People say this is the worst Wii game in the world. Well I say differently.

Rampage: Total Destruction is presented differently from past games in the Rampage series. At the start before the menu a clip is played of a boy with two sodas. He tries soda A then he tries soda S. Soda S is how the people turn into monsters in this game.

While you can’t keep drinking soda S or even try soda S for that matter you can play the original game where you keep wondering what the boy took to become that monster.

Rampage has lots of new characters, if you can’t bother unlocking them all you can cheat for them.

The original cast is there. As well as loads more, they range from Squids to a Bull to a shark.

The aim of the game is to destroy all the buildings in the level. But in this new title there’s a twist you have missions to do as well which give you points and power ups.

The controls are quite good you use the nunchuck to move around and then you use the A button to smash your fist into the buildings and eat things. The only complaint I have is that smashing the Wiimote down to perform a attack can become straining on the wrist.

The game goes through multiple cities across the world and each one gains in strength. The more you advance the more people are out to get you and the more annoying it becomes when you want to just smash the buildings down.

You can also smash buildings with your friends with the range of multiplayer options.

I give Rampage: Total Destruction a thumbs up.

– Final word – Thumbs up!
