- Part 1 of Trinest’s random articles
During my sites ups and downs, I have found out that there are many tricks and trades, one of which is, rumors when they happen people have ways of making it look official.
Normally a news post will show a source at most sites (we don’t because its extra work) and basically easier for someone to track the page down and look. But one of these was Another Codes USA date, and there was also another rumor which started out similar, but I can’t remember what it was at this time. It started off saying “Nintendo today announced…” then it will go onto something saying “that (e.g. Another Code’s date) has been announced for the 21st of June in America” of course at the moment we count it as a rumor but also, maybe it’s from someone inside? Because we found the UK Another Code date a month before it was official announced. Weird? No because most rumors are covered up as real information, or real information is covered up as a rumor. Basically if you don’t want something to be known, report it as a rumor on your site.
Then there’s the fake news that gets reported, it’s not rumor or a fact, its just fake news to stir up the community. Effectively making people that are “unaware” believe it is fact and tell people its fake, only based upon one sites option.
“Your Idea of a good game, is different to the reviewers”
Most websites review or preview games, that’s okay. But most give biased options on games that are okay. But most people take it seriously and well then flame the writer, maybe with spam or hate mails. But what really is wrong is when the reviews include another system, which has a similar game on it, and then have basis options on the other systems game.
You may think this is uncommon, but in fact it happens a lot, on sites on forums or in magazines.
“Remember kids never report news around the 1st of April there’s a 99.9% chance its going to be fake”
April fools is a time of year when people muck up, and report fake news, if you’re not the person doing this, well then your most likely reporting old or fake news during that time period. Also anyone remember DS-Link Up, they should know the joke must start on April fools not latter (like the 4th >.<). We nether reported this until it was to late. Reporting April fools day jokes is common, and is a mistake you have to stop doing, because? Its only fun to report your own fake news.
